Thumbtack, in partnership with Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, released the results of their third annual Small Business Friendliness Survey.  The study provides insights into the friendliness of state and local business environments across the United States.

Interestingly, the survey indicates that Miami was the second easiest city for hiring new workers in Florida.  That’s right, the Miami area received a grade of A- for the ability to staff your business.  And, Miami’s small business owners were the most optimistic in the United States about the state of the local economy, which is great news too.

And while Miami’s small business owners are the most optimistic about the local economy, there were opportunities to improve as well.  First, Miami’s regulatory friendliness has a ways to improve (grade of B-).  Second, overall friendliness in Miami earned a grade of C.
